Digest of Exercises¶
1. taking the first thing¶
A looks away from B.
Observer says “A go!”
A says the very first physical thing he notices (ex. “green sweater”)
Observer catches A if he did not name the first thing
2. starting repetitions¶
taking the first thing as above
B repeats what A says
A repeats what B says
until observer says stop
3. putting into language¶
Put words into a sentence: “green sweater” -> “you are wearing a green sweater.”
4. truthful pov¶
change You into I
change repetition to make it truthful
A to B: “You are wearing a grey shirt.” (but A wears a red shirt)
B to A: “I am wearing a red shirt.” or “I am not wearing a red shirt”
…
5. three moment’s game pt1¶
A asks B provocative question
B immediately repeats provocative question
A articulates the observed (physical) behaviour with B (5-7 observations)
A tells B his conclusion: “and that made you feel …”
6. three moment’s game pt2¶
as pt1, except directly jumping to conclusion
7. continuous repetitions¶
three moment’s game pt2
B repeats conclusion -> starts a repetition
observer randomly starts new repetition inside repetition “A / B go!”
8. pinch & ouch¶
whoever starts, starts the repetition
both participants name also how they are hit / affected by what the other just said (ouch = reaction 1)
observer’s key task: get A & B to name only reaction 1 (on their side and their partner)
