What are Meisner Repetitions?

Meisner repetitions are a set of training exercises for

  • observing subtle, inadvertent changes in the other person

  • expressing yourself to the fullest extent you are feeling sth.

While common interactions try to control an interaction on the content-level,
Meisner Repetitions focus on inadvertent, uncontrolled moments where you express your true-self to form an interaction based on those expressions.
They do that by increasing the share of reaction 1 (physical expression) over reaction 2 (socialized reaction to reaction 1) in the interaction.
